Urumqi_still

As it seems step by step I am going to move. Hura. Finally I got my LOI (Letter of Invitation, which I still belive is nonsense…) to applay for Kazahstan visa.

So by the middle of the week I should got new stamp and say goodbye China.

China will always have special place in my memory. The only thing I missed here was balance. :)

I wrote to friend Sasha, another great cyclist (I really wanted to have that drink with you in Lhasa, but I needed to stop in hospital for a week :)) an email with question what he thinks about cycling Kazakhstan;

“I HAVE CROSSED KASZACHSTAN IN 3 MONTH. THE ROADS WAS NORMALLY TOTALY
DESTROYED OR UNSEALED. THE PEOPLE WAS VERY VERY FRIENDLY AND
HOSPITALITY. I NEEDED ONLY 2 OR 3 TIMES MY TENT. KASZACHSTAN IS VERY FLAT. NORMALLY NO MOUNTAINS. VERY HILLY ONLY AROUND ALMATY. IT WAS VERY WARM AND I
THINK 2,5 MONTH I CYCLED THROUGH A KIND OF DESSERT. ”

So that is my reality for next month. I have only one wish. My body to cooporate. To ride from border to border, I have cca. 4000 km to do, temperature going over 40 C, passing by Aral sea, remote areas…..And once in between to take a train to Astana, for last AZ - visa - embassy run…

Yeap it is out there. Do not know how it is going to be. But I can not wait. Yeap at this stage my bike is my need. I need to breath, I need the space…I need to calm down…
I am so exsited. To ride and roll again. :)
