Azub 5
And here it goes first imression about Recumbent.
A good week ago I recieved a big parcel addressed to my apartment on 6th floor. The first impression was - this bike is heavy!
I spent the following day putting it together. Thanks to the guys from Azub company it was easier then expected. After woods- the test ride followed.
The beginning was much, much more easier then I expected. I was afraid how the starting and stopping are going to be. But no fear, there were No problems at all. The truth is that I put my seat upright and always start in lower gear. 5 min passed cycling just in the neighbourhood and then straight to the streets of Beijing, into traffic. (Beijing is perfect for cycling- flat and wide side bike lanes.)
Next day I got to ride in rain, including some luggage on the bike. I had to send a package home. First days around Beijing were fun, fun, fun! You would just ride, ride, ride. The legs are working and the rest of body is much more relax.
Soon Sunday came..For the first time in a long time I put all my luggage on and head forward. The balance was not a problem. Riding on flat roads, I do not have an impression of being any slower. It is joy to go through turns and I am looking forward to some good downhill rides.
One more good thing about the bike -I can stay/ride on the bike much longer and with less pain. (which makes my shoulder happy.)
It is not all good. The middle stand looks so good, but full loaded bike - nope/ I do not think so. The wind is too strong. The bike fell down and shock. The first part likes to move a bit. Otherwise there were no real falls, beside the one in a rainy day.
Technical few things need to be adjusted. Nevertheless for my way of cycling, it’s great. And I do have loads of time to on my shoulders to learn, see, experience,….
And still I am searching for the name for it - for the bike, I mean.
